general chat/what you've been up to thread

a few forums i'm on have one of these, a thread where you can just chat about anything that you don't want to make a whole thread for, or for random stuff like what you are doing and all that. i was wondering if it would be a good idea on here? anyhow, i am meant to be revising for my biology gcse exam now, cos it's this afternoon, but really hate revision. so yeah, i've made a logo/flowgo for the FATM army/flows on photoshop. :)

Got a violin(pretty late at 16 i know). But emilie autumn got me all inspired so ill have  a go at it.I think flos music could use more violins though. That set at BBC electric proms with violins was one of her best i think.

ooh, that's cool. i agree that the electric proms set was awesome, i think they work really well with her voice.

i'm 15 and trying to teach myself guitar so i'm in the same kind of boat!

Guitar cools.Somepeople in my class started in september and can now play a few songs,i thought it took years to learn that but i was wrong.Teaching yourself is pretty cool, wish i could do that but im pretty sure i need lessons.Especially after being told its one of the hardest instruments to play.

Is there any other live sets she does with a string section?Cos dog days on the BBC set is definetly the best version ever especially at the end.

when i was little (8 or 9) i taught myself to read music, then to play ocarina, recorder and the basics of saxophone, but since then i've had lessons in saxophone (i'm still not great but i play it purely for enjoyment, which i definitely get from it).

i was awful at science.. chemistry in particular. for some reason i was best at physics, but even that was bad!

i am supposed to be revising for my last ever A levels that i cannot retake... instead i'm listeing to almost 4 hours worth of R&B and procrastinating on here/facebook/twitter/lastfm
    sigh.

i used to want to be a vet when i was very little because i loved animals... it was until i was older that i realised there were very big down-sides to being a vet! haha.
    good luck to you too!

Just came back from a six hour car trip from Mammoth. I arrived with my sis and my mother and her friend on sunday and we stayed in a three level hotel room and I got a three day ski pass. I woke up at 7 in morning to get ready to be at lifts at 7:30 so I could ski all day till 2, Did the same thing for tuesday but we left early to go to yosemite and see mono lake(do not taste water it taste salty) My snowboarding techiqnue greatly improved which made me happy, but apparently snowboarding two and a half days in a row can take a lot out of you, so on wed I left after three hours due to fatigue in my right leg or I would of pulled something or crashed quite terribly. After we left We visited hot springs and then went home. Now I'm posting

Ugh they made us do that for eight grade and seventh grade, and I agree it's uselss! The only useful thing to come out of it was in early eight grade we had to study for the *says in mimic voice* catholic high school exam until december.
